About
Welcome to the randomness that is my life!
I always hear that a blog should be about one topic. Specific. Consistent. Take the one thing you are most passionate about and gush about it to the world. I don’t have one thing I’m passionate about, I have hundreds. Condensing it down just isn’t possible. So instead I would like to share with you the multitude of things that make me happy, sad, perplexed, intrigued and everything in between.
I have a lot of passion when it comes to the sense of taste. Good food. Good wine. Good coffee and tea. Yes, I am one of those people that likes both equally. I love to decorate cakes. The more unique it is to make, the more fun. I am a recent convert to wine but am loving it more with each bottle. Honestly, if it has to do with being in a kitchen I’m happy. It’s very much the heart of the home in my opinion.
I find my life revolves around technology quite a bit. Possibly more than I’d like to admit. My desk is where you will find me more often then not. At any given time I am using a minimum of 2 computers, both Mac and PC. This is yet another aspect in which I enjoy both equally, though if I was hard pressed to pick a favorite it would probably be PC. I really just use my Macbook for email and IM. It’s quite possibly a massive waste of money and electricity however, it increases my nerd points. I enjoy the little electronics as well. Anything from iPod’s to smartphones to cameras and beyond.
Art has been a pivotal part of my life from childhood. I find art in everything and can make art out of anything. It’s a wonderful way to express yourself and make the world just a little more interesting to look at. My heart is in surrealism but I don’t work exclusively in that style. I am trying to embrace more of the digital art medium. Despite my love for technology, this is taking some getting used to. I think there is something to be said for being able to physically interact with the medium you are manipulating. Although, digital art is growing on me.
If any of this sparks your interest or even if it completely gets under your skin and makes you want to scream, let me know. I’m always up for a riveting conversation or an intellectual battle. Bring it! I dare you! But seriously, whether we become friends or enemies, we’ve made each other’s lives more interesting and how could that be a bad thing?
